You see the claims all the time about losing 10 pounds or sometimes more in just three days. You just take one little pill three times a day with no dieting nor exercise and watch the pounds disappear with no work. If only it worked for good.

You can lose 10 pounds in 3 days but you will gain it all back very soon. It's hard to lose 10 pounds of fat in 365 days and many people still want to believe they can lose the same amount of weight in 1/10th the time. It's not going to work.

Unless you want to take some drastic measures that may do more harm than good.

You can lose 10 pounds in 3 days by not drinking water. You wouldn't be very healthy and probably wouldn't be able to function very well either.

The only way you'd be able to have a loss of 10 pounds of fat is if you burned an extra 35,000 calories more than you consumed over a short period of time. Each pound of fat is 3,500 calories. So ten pounds times 3,500 calories = 35,000.

You would either have to eat very little and starve yourself which wouldn't work because if you starve yourself your body will go into self preservation mode and store fat instead of burning it. You would be burning off lean muscle tissue which is very vital to your body. This would do more harm than good. You would get rid of healthy body tissue and retain unhealthy fatty tissue.

Losing about a pound or two a week is more manageable and achievable with lasting results. This is what most health experts recommend. You can do this with a sensible plan of healthy eating and moderate exercise. You could also try a meal replacement plan which have been clinically proven to work time and time again for the past 20 years. Many people lose 2-4 pounds a week while on them.

Losing 10 pounds in 3 days is not realistic. It puts too much unnecessary pressure on your body and the negative effects may not appear until your much older where it's too late to do anything about it.
